Rooms
Your room
Eight rooms in the main house, with sixty-centimetre walls that hold the temperature. There is no air conditioning, and on cold nights there are extra blankets in the wardrobe.
Breakfast
From 7am to 10am, cooked on the wood stove: pão de queijo, cornbread, our own cheese and filtered coffee. Zélia lights the stove at half past five.
Facilities
A natural spring-fed pool, a veranda with rocking chairs, a wood stove and clay oven in daily use. Wi-Fi in the main house and the hall.
House rules
Leave the gates as you found them: there is loose cattle. Don't feed the animals without asking Aurélio, and quiet from 9:30pm to 6am.
The area
We are fifteen minutes from Tiradentes and eighteen from the steam train station. São João del-Rei is thirty minutes away.
Where to eat
Zélia's lunch is served here at 12:30pm, if you ask by 9am. In Tiradentes, we have listed the places worth the drive.

Fogão a lenha
Ele fica aceso das 5h30 às 14h. Se quiser esquentar algo fora desse horário, use o fogão a gás da cozinha de apoio.
Aquecimento dos quartos
Não há ar-condicionado: as paredes de 1874 têm 60 cm e seguram a temperatura. Nas noites frias, há mais cobertas no armário.
Porteira e chaves
A porteira principal fica aberta até as 20h. Os quartos não trancam por dentro com chave: é tranca de tramela, do lado de dentro.
Piscina natural
É alimentada pela nascente e não tem cloro; a água é fria o ano todo. O fundo é de pedra e escorrega: vá com calma.
Ordenha
Acontece às 6h, no curral de baixo. Quem quiser acompanhar, é só aparecer: não precisa avisar.

- As porteiras ficam como você encontrou: aberta se estava aberta, fechada se estava fechada. Há gado solto.
- Não alimente os animais sem falar com o seu Aurélio: alguns estão em dieta do veterinário.
- Silêncio das 21h30 às 6h. Aqui todo mundo acorda cedo.
- As crianças podem tudo, menos entrar no curral sem um adulto.
